Recommendation Thread

I'm here to recommend my go to spring look from head to toe. I will try to give it my best shot and try to make you the reader visualize it.

Im gonna start at the bottom with the shoes. I really like shoes that have a classic but distinguishable look. I think the Vans Sk8 Hi's do a great job with doing that and they have been a staple for quite a while now. With classic come plain black and white but the shoes do come in some great color ways.

As far as jeans go I'm not too picky. Some good denim may cost you a pretty penny, but I like the low cost decent quality approach so Id go with these Black Authentic 1969 Skinny Black Jeans as an alternative.

For a t-shirt I would go with one of my favorite brands with this simple Only NY Midtown Tee. The shirt is simply but you still get to flex a little with the brand showing down the middle with a button up unbuttoned.

Speaking of button ups. This I Love Ugly Distressed Denim Shirt in a beige to offset the colors you're already wearing. Also, leave it open to show off the Tee.

It is spring correct? So a must have is a rain jacket/windbreaker and Im always a fan of anything North Face, including this San Sidro Wind Jacket. That I'd throw this bad boy on top, and return to the dark side.

Finally I wanted to ad an accessory to the outfit and my favorite accessories are always hats. To match the button up and the tee I'd go back to Only NY  and wear this Camper Snapback that should tie the whole outfit together.

The picture below is for reference. I want something versatile in the spring. When it's rainy you have the jacket on top but when it's a bit nicer the jacket can come off and the outfit will still work. Hope this inspires some spring fits.

My Website!!!

This week I was finally able to publish my website and I have to say I am pleased with the way it has turned out. First off, the idea behind the website. I wanted to make a website that would link streetwear fans directly to some of the best brands including; clothing, denim, and footwear. The best blogs and the best forums. Like the motto says in the home page, I hope to make the site, the "one stop shop for the latest and greatest in streetwear fashion." I also hope to provide relevant information to newcomers of streetwear or old timers who know a lot about the topic.

The website also provides some insightful reading for the users with the pillar articles which we were assigned to do. The articles will hopefully engage and connect with the readers. You will also find some items which I myself designed on cafepress. The items are closely related to streetwear, the website, and the blog.

With the design itself, I attempted to go with a simplistic approach and used colors that matched well. Also, tried to give the site a city feel. My tabs include the home, articles, brands, contacts, about and store. The brands tab contains all of the relevant brands in streetwear at moment categorized by clothing, denim and footwear, all the tabs are linked to their respective websites. You will also the sites tab which links you to all the best sites and forums. Finally I have my store where I provide my own designs and merchandise with the links to buy them.

Ii really enjoyed making the site, I hope you all enjoy navigating through it.

Yeezy Boost 350 Review

The product that I will be reviewing is the Yeezy Boost 350's in the pirate black color way. These shoes have recently been released and its Adidas collaboration with rapper Kanye West. These shoes, like the previous Yeezy drops have been well sought after. However, Adidas is still having this be a limited drop so it was tough to get a pair, for those lucky enough to snag a pair. I was lucky enough to be able try on a pair, unfortunately I was not able get a pair for myself. I personally really like the shoe and it has nothing to do with my love for Kanye West, I swear this is an unbiased opinion.

Alright, so let's get into the actual shoe. The shoe is such a clean look and the grey streaks on top of the black is great look. This differs from the turtle dove color which had white streaks. One of my favorite components of this shoe are the sort of bars that come out on the sole. I don't know why that catches my eye but I like it. The sole also contains Adidas' boost technology which makes the shoe super light weight and comfortable. It is also interesting to note that the boost at the bottom was left white, contrasts from the rest of the shoe which is black with a little grey here and there. My second favorite component to the Yeezy's is the stitching that stretches from the top of the tongue to the front end of the show. There's something about that line that gives the shoe a whole innovative and creative The placement of the laces is something that I also admire about the shoe. These shoes don't have that typical or common lace look rather it is a bit random and almost a bonus since the shoe itself sort doubles as a slip on.You can easily rock these any outfit and they will look good.
