This blog is tailored to feature the best of Supreme. In case you haven't noticed from the content in my previous blogs or are a new reader of the Clotho's Thread, it is safe to assume that Supreme is my favorite streetwear brand. Out of all the brands they've had the most mentions in my blog posts and they are often one of the first brands that I check up on when I'm not sure what to write about. From product drops to lookbooks and more here are my top Supreme mentions:
1. Supreme: The Resale Market
This was the first article I wrote about Supreme. I was talking about Complex magazines documentary on Supreme's resale market that dives into Supreme's successful and often times very crazy resale market.
2. Top 10 Streetwear Brands
In this article I ranked my top 10 streetwear brands and spoiler alert Supreme is on it. I wont say what spot they got but I will say they are pretty high on the list. In the blog I explain that Supreme remains the most well-known and most wanted brand.
3. Lookbooks 2015-2016
In this blog I talk about my favorite lookbook from 2015 and 2016. In this case I explain why the lookbook caught my eye. The link is also in the blog so I'll recommend you check it out, then leave a comment telling me what you think.
4. The North Face and Supreme Drop Yet Another Collaboration
In this post Ii simply talk about a recent collaboration between the North Face and Supreme. I go into detail as to what the products look like and also link the photo album. Heres a small excerpt from the post "The line includes a hooded jacket, a hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants and a
backpack and like always Supreme brings us some colored options."

Why The NMD City Sock Is Not The Shoe of The Year
Recently the Author of one of my go to blogs, The Asphalt, had a blog post about why he thought that the Adidas NMD City Sock was his shoe of the year up to date. This here is the link to that blog post. Aand here is the shoe in question.
The writer has good and valid reasons as to why he has fallen for this shoe. Shoot, he even made me think twice about the product but there's a lot about the shoe I cant stand. He clarifies that he is not an overall fan of the NMD line but that this shoe in particular is something worth "taking a closer look at." That's one area I can already disagree on as I am usually a fan of the NMD drops and the city sock is the one exception. He talks about the NMD being a consolation price for not being able to cop yeezy's and I too disagree with this notion. I think the NMD has its own value and features such as the sole of the shoe which pops out at you almost immediately. It can definitely double as an alternative to the Yeezy's but I can definitely say I like some of the NMD's more than the Yeezy's. Let's hope Kanye West doesn't read this.
Let's get into why I truly this dislike the Adidas NMD City Sock. The proof is in the name, the shoe looks like a sock with a sole in it. It kind of reminds me of Swim Shoes and for that I just cant like the shoe. There are no laces which I think are key here, since the laces work so well on other knit designs. There aren't many shoes without laces that I do enjoy to be honest. The color way is an okay color way with the black and gray stripes going in different angles and directions. Interesting to note is the black patch on the inside of the show which reads S79150, which can be found on other Adidas designs, in particular the Yeezy's. Overall the shoe is just unimpressive and not aesthetically pleasing. I'd definitely choose any other NMD over this one.

Streetwear's Most Influential People
This post will dive into the influential faces in streetwear. These are artists that are well known in the streetwear community and often set themselves a part from the rest. From starting trends to perfecting others. These are the people that many tailor their own looks after and often can't be matched. They have the power to help or hurt a brands worth.Alright well, let's get right to it:
1. Pharrell Williams
The music mogul is quite honestly one of the OG's in streetwear. He's been setting trends and coming up with designs of his own for years now. He was one of the main pioneers in the popular brand BAPE, and one could argue he's one of the main reasons the brand became so popular. Pharrell is the founder of the well-known clothing line Billionaire Boys Club, and it is one which he has a huge hand in deciding designs and the running of the business. To this day the 43 year old Pharrell can create buzz based of his style.
2. Kanye West
Kanye much like Pharrell is an artist whose main forte is music rather than fashion. Both also carry a lot of respect in the streetwear world for their passion in fashion. Kanye has been very vocal about his love for fashion since the day he became a household name. The hip hop artist currently has is own line with Adidas where he has released three installments of his clothing and footwear line. These items are always hyped up by streetwear aficionados and this has been the case since his prior deal with Nike. Kanye is usually ahead of the curve when it comes to trends and has even started some himself.
3. A$ap Rocky
The trend continues. A$ap Rocky has been a big contributor in streetwear since he blew up in 2011. He was one of the main pioneers for the brand PYREX and can be seen wearing Supreme, Bape, and Palace. You will also often see websites and blogs put out compilations of Rocky' s best outfits/looks.
4. Tyler the Creator
Another rapper, surprise surprise. Tyler along with fellow Odd Future members were and are still big fans of the brand Supreme and often can be seen wearing the wildly popular brand. Nowadays we still see the influence that Tyler and Odd Future have with their Odd Future brand that Tyler often designs himself. Tyler once claimed in a song that he has made "a quarter million off of socks." Tyler and Odd Future have also collaborated with the shoe brand Vans.
5. Ian Connor
The first person on the list that is not a rapper. Ian Connor became an over night sensation after he was featured and modeled for the Yeezy Season 3 premier where Kanye famously also released his TLOP album. Since then we have found out that he has had a hand in some designs including those on the Yeezy Season 3 line. He is quickly becoming a social media icon with his Instagram reaching 548k followers where he posts pictures of outfits hes wearing and the people he is hanging out with, some of those people are on this list.

Highsnobiety is Really Dope
After my last post where I was linking Highsnobiety, I got to thinking "Man, highsnobiety is really dope." So I decided to make this blog post to promote the fashion blogger that has been around since 2005. The blog itself prides itself on its long reach covering themes and news in fashion, music, art, culture and design. But their bread and butter is still fashion and they seem to always be ahead of the curve when it comes to streetwear. From drops, to collaborations, to giving valuable insight on products and brands.
Once you reach the home page you'll see the they have their sections separated by fashion, footwear, music, lifestyle, art, and selectivism. Then they'll have a Our Sites tab that leads into their other affiliated sites. Under the fashion tab you'll find all the latest news on fashion. This is where you'll find articles and blog posts about streetwear. Like any blog they give recommendations on brands and products, inform about upcoming releases, news on what your favorite brands are up to and many other topics. In footwear you'll find the latest on shoes from drops to news. In music you can find releases, interviews, and videos from the music industry. Lifestyle is more tailored to world news and the entertainment industry. Arts will give insight and a look at the art world. And finally under selectism it combines some themes like art, design, and lifestyle.
In Our Sites you'll find their affiliated sites including; What Drops Now, Highsnobiety Store, Snob Shots, and the Highsnobiety Store guide. What Drops Now is great for that latest drops in pretty much any brand and they'll include prices as well as short descriptions of the product. They also allow people to add their own brands/products. In the store you'll find their magazine as well as products that they sell. The last two sites are really neat. Snob Shots is like a social media site mirroring instagram where people can post their stylish outfits. The last site is the store guide where store owners all over the world can register and showcase their stores and merchandise. These stores are fashion oriented but its really cool. I can easily hit the Chicago button and find all the best stores around the city where I can find some great streetwear merchandise.
Highsnobiety has been a long running streetwear and fashion blog and they are always on point with their content. Its a no brainer recommending this site. Check out the site here.

5 More Drops to Shop
The blog High Snobiety has weakly updates on the latest releases that they deem the most worthy to pick up called 10 Drops to Shop This Week. The link will take you straight to this weeks installment.
It is usually hard to argue with what they have chosen as they generally do a great job at choosing stylish and fresh products. This week however, I felt as though they missed some critical pieces that can make any wardrobe better. The items I have chosen are inspired by the upcoming spring and summer seasons.
Item #1: Belly Pullover by Anthem Inc.
This hooded windbreaker comes in a sleek design with the word ANTHEM stretching across the chest. The Zipper interestingly enough is in the shape of the letter A. It comes in a white with blue color way. Perfect item to tackle the April Showers. To view Click Here.
Item #2: GEL-Lyte V's "Sunburst" by ASICS
Walking/running shoes that are versatile are always a must come summer time. These shoes will make any summer outfit stand out with its light colors (tan and white), making the name more fitting. To view Click Here.
Item #3: Round Metal by Ray-Ban
As the sun starts shining more regularly you're gonna need something to block the sun from your eyes so why not these rounded frames which follow current trends that lean toward those rounded frames. To view Click Here.
Item #4: Kimono T-shirt by Topman
This t-shirt is perfect for the summer. It is a loose fitting shirt which makes it breathable in the hot weather and the print in front depicts and ice cream cone in a tasteful way (pun not intended). To view Click Here.
Item #5: Facing Panthers Outline Cap by Rare Panther
The design on this 6-panel hat is simple but very neat. A chill accessory to wear in the spring/summer. To view Click Here.

The North Face and Supreme Drop Yet Another Collaboration
Earlier this week North Face and Supreme dropped yet another collaboration together for their spring/summer 2016 Steep Tech collection. This like the various others should be just as sought after and anticipated even with the oddness of selling fall/winter items out of season. The line includes a hooded jacket, a hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants and a backpack and like always Supreme brings us some colored options.
Each of the new items comes in one of 4 color ways for each of the items. For jackets this includes a blue and yellow color scheme, a red and green color scheme and some classic black and white. Every item will also display both logos. The sweatshirts and pants come in matching green, red, black, and white. And finally, the backpacks return to the jackets' color ways minus the white. This is most notable on the Hooded jackets and sweatshirts where the Supreme logo stretches across the hood, a logo placement which they have recycled from the previous collaboration.
These items will cost quite the pretty penny to get. The jackets will run for $388, the sweatshirt $198, the sweatpants $168, and the backpack for $148.These items will be available at the Supreme stores in the US on April 7th, and in Japan on April 9th. Aan like with any Supreme item, if you're not one of the firsts to buy it then expect the resale value to be significantly higher than the retail value. however.
All in all, this collection is still impressive and although it may not be ideal to wear a hooded jacket/sweatshirt in the summer it will prep you to look fly as hell come fall and winter.
For a closer look at the collection follow this Link.

Recommendation Thread
I'm here to recommend my go to spring look from head to toe. I will try to give it my best shot and try to make you the reader visualize it.
Im gonna start at the bottom with the shoes. I really like shoes that have a classic but distinguishable look. I think the Vans Sk8 Hi's do a great job with doing that and they have been a staple for quite a while now. With classic come plain black and white but the shoes do come in some great color ways.
As far as jeans go I'm not too picky. Some good denim may cost you a pretty penny, but I like the low cost decent quality approach so Id go with these Black Authentic 1969 Skinny Black Jeans as an alternative.
For a t-shirt I would go with one of my favorite brands with this simple Only NY Midtown Tee. The shirt is simply but you still get to flex a little with the brand showing down the middle with a button up unbuttoned.
Speaking of button ups. This I Love Ugly Distressed Denim Shirt in a beige to offset the colors you're already wearing. Also, leave it open to show off the Tee.
It is spring correct? So a must have is a rain jacket/windbreaker and Im always a fan of anything North Face, including this San Sidro Wind Jacket. That I'd throw this bad boy on top, and return to the dark side.
Finally I wanted to ad an accessory to the outfit and my favorite accessories are always hats. To match the button up and the tee I'd go back to Only NY and wear this Camper Snapback that should tie the whole outfit together.
The picture below is for reference. I want something versatile in the spring. When it's rainy you have the jacket on top but when it's a bit nicer the jacket can come off and the outfit will still work. Hope this inspires some spring fits.
